The morning that changed our lives...
Our morning started early today. Landon and Tomas were excited for the Gold's Gym grand opening and had decided they would need to be the FIRST ones to step foot in the new facility. Landon was out the door by about 3:45 am, which woke me up, so I stumbled to the bathroom to take a test (I had decided last night I would test first thing in the morning because I knew this would yield the most accurate reading). I was convinced my eyes were not functioning properly when I saw that plus sign show up! I was so excited and now wide awake, so I sat in bed watching TV and searched for pregnancy apps for my iPhone. I didn't tell Landon when he got home because I wanted to tell him in some cool way (and have time to brush my teeth first), so he thought it was a little weird that I was so happy and wide eyed when he returned from working out. :)
I took 3 tests (2 different brands) over the next few hours just to make sure!
Breaking the news to the Dad-To-Be....
I planned to meet Landon for lunch after my morning patient in Hermiston. I ran all over the mall trying to find unisex baby shoes, the white Chuck Taylors were perfect (after all, mom and dad both had Chucks). I told Landon I had a little surprise to brighten his day, he later told me he thought it was a new shirt or something, well this is what he opened...
Upon opening his "gift," Landon sat silent for about 10 seconds with a confused look on his face and finally muttered the words "What? What is this....?" He then looked up at me and saw that I had a huge smile on my face and tears in my eyes and knew exactly what was going on! A flood of emotions rushed over us and Landon couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear. We were pregnant with the baby we had been dreaming about for years now! We said a prayer of thanks and then went in to the best lunch of our lives.

Telling the Family!
We had Mark and Debby in town for Mark's CBC hall of fame induction, so the timing was perfect to break the news! After eating dinner at our house we handed envelopes containing this picture to Mark and Debby, Lisa and DJ, my Mom and Dad, and Grandma Sally and Grandpa Harvey. What a great night!
